I have so many favourite things about Nova Scotia, here are just a few. What are yours?
Such a civilized way to shop locally! Add coffee or a lunch date to your shopping cart.
Honey! Cornect Family Farm.
Honey roasted beets. Bees wax candles, honey sticks and pots of honey. Find the Cornect Family at the Antigonish Farmers Market too.
The Biscuit Eater. Any reason is a good reason to go to Mahone Bay, but the Biscuit Eater is one of the best! It is always in season to eat fresh biscuits and warm jam. A place where you can snuggle up, wrapped in shelves of books.
Baby its cold outside! Keep your fingers toasty and warm with these handmade mittens. Lobsters and Lighthouses are so Nova Scotia.
The Lobster mittens can be found at The Made in Nova Scotia Store. I am still trying to find the talented Lighthouse mitten maker.
It’s Lobster Season on the South Shore! Need advice or a recipe?
The Lobster Shack in Barrington Passage wins 2014, “Restaurant of the Year” Taste of Nova Scotia’s Prestige Awards.
Steinhart Distillery in Arisaig. Remove the plain white label to discover a Nova Scotia work of art underneath. Maple Vodka with the plain label removed. This taste is true to our Nova Scotia Maple flavour!
Freelander Bicycles. Vintage bicycle restoration and accessories. We all need a basket to carry our goodies and everyone looks good in a belt made from discarded bike tires. Bike taxidermy to grace your wall?
