This is a series of reviews based on finding the Best Fish & Chips in Nova Scotia.

Restaurant- Old Fish Factory & Ice House Bar

Where: Lunenburg, Nova Scotia

What I Ate: 1 piece fish & chips, the fish was ale battered, English style. Coleslaw, lemon and homemade tartar sauce.

Fish & Chips with Sauerkraut Coleslaw

Details:The fish was fresh, with a dense ale style batter. The fries were mediocre. The overall taste and texture just did not meet with my expectations.  The sauerkraut coleslaw had a nice crunch and a sweet tangy flavour, I enjoyed every bite!  The homemade tartar sauce with just a hint of dill pickle, was a delight! Ketchup, salt and both malt and white vinegar were served too.

Service: Excellent! Fast and friendly.

Eastern Star

Atmosphere: Some of the best views to watch the boats motor or sail by on the South Shore. Sitting dockside on the patio also let me indulge in my people watching tendencies. The second floor restaurant with long views and the relaxed atmosphere of well oiled schooner at dock is perfect for indulging in summertime cocktails and easy conversation.

Price: 1 piece fish & chips, $10.00 with out tax.

Delivering Fresh Seafood

Of Interest: I tasted my companions Asian Seafood Salad; noodles, crisp fresh veggies and perfectly grilled Atlantic salmon, Digby scallops and tiger shrimp, delicious!                  Fresh seafood is delivered daily!
